11 Weeks

Baby is as big as a lime this week and growing like crazy!  Its been a long week this week.  John had to go out of town for 4 days, so Mikey and I were on our own for most of the week.  I ended up having to take Mikey to the doctor on Wednesday, because he was complaining about his ear hurting.  Thankfully he didn't have an ear infection!  The doctor prescribed him some eye drops because his eyes were kind of running.  Do you know how hard it is to get eye drops in a 2 1/2 year old?  It's quite a chore!

My nausea and sickness has picked up again this week.  I was hoping that it was over because it had let up for a few days, but it came back with a vengeance!  I've still been tired all the time, but I'm sure that will get better in the next few weeks!

Friday I had a doctor appointment.  When she tried to find the heartbeat she couldn't find it, which made me worry a little.  I wasn't to scared since I had just heard the heartbeat with my own Doppler on Wednesday.  But my doctor sent me for an ultrasound just to make me feel better.  Well the baby's heart was beating like crazy, 174bpm!  Baby was also waving at us and kicking up a storm!  What a relief!  And I got a great picture of the baby!  Its amazing the difference between the 7 week ultrasound picture and this one that was at 11 weeks!

Well, I better get this wrapped up so we can get Mikey to bed and I will follow him shortly!  Goodnight everyone, and have a great week!

10 Weeks

The baby pretty much doubled in size this week!  From a grape or green olive to a prune!  Another comparison is a kumquat...what the heck is that!  LOL!  I heard a wonderful sound this week, well it was actually at the end of 9 weeks but I had already wrote the blog, I found the baby's heartbeat with my doppler!  It was such a beautiful sound to hear!  I tried to find it again that evening for John, but of course the baby was being shy and hiding.

We had a pretty busy weekend.  We left Friday evening and went to visit my grandma and grandpa in Westmoreland for the night and part of Saturday.  Then Saturday afternoon we continued on to Manhattan and helped my brother move into his new apartment for the semester.  He starts classes on Tuesday.  After that we went even farther West to Salina to visit my Nana and Papa.  We had my cousins first birthday party to go to on Sunday so we stayed the night with them.  My parents were also there.  We stayed up pretty late and played games, so I was exhausted yesterday!  Sunday after the birthday party we drove home.

John left this morning to go to Beaver, OK for work.  He's not going to be back until Thursday evening.  Keep him in your prayers that he has a safe trip!  Mikey woke up this morning with a small cold.  I hope it doesn't stick around for long, because I don't like being stuck in the house for very long!

Symptoms this week have started to calm down.  I am still tired a lot, but I haven't been sick since Thursday.  I have felt nauseous on and off, but not to severe.  I have had some mild heartburn/acid reflux, but nothing Tums won't take care of.

I hope everyone has a great week!

9 Weeks

The baby sure is growing fast!  As big as a grape this week!  Actually, thenest.com website that I have been following says the size of a green olive.  Well I didn't have any green olives and didn't want to buy a whole jar just for the picture.  So I found other comparisons like grapes and cherries.  I had grapes, so I just used one of them (even though it was kind of a small grape)!

Anyways, its hard to believe I am 9 weeks pregnant and only 3 weeks until the end of my first trimester!  As you can see I am starting to have a small bump, but if you didn't know I was pregnant you probably wouldn't notice.  It seems to puff out at different times of the day too, so some of it is still bloat.  I still fit in one pair of my jeans, but they are getting a little snug around the waist.  I guess my other ones still "fit", but they are uncomfortable around the waist.  Thank goodness for my bella bands!  Mikey wanted to take a picture again with me this week, and he smiled so sweetly for it!

Today I attended my first MOPS (Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers) meeting and it was a lot of fun!  Mikey got to have fun playing with other kids his age, and I got to socialize with the other moms.  Besides family and a few close friends these other moms were the first ones I told about my exciting news!  They have a little gender predictor that they do for expecting moms.  They have a bag filled with pink and blue baby socks and you close your eyes and pick one to "predict" what your having, well I picked out pinks ones!  I really want a girl and have been praying for one!  As long as the baby is healthy I will be happy with either, but I really want a girl!  Mikey even says he wants a baby sister!  LOL!  I don't think he fully understands yet that he is going to be a big brother and mommy has a baby in her tummy.

As far as symptoms this week, they haven't changed much.  I am still tired all the time, and still get nausea on and off.  One day I feel great, and the next day I get sick!  Its unpredictable!  I mentioned I got my pregnancy pillow last week, and I love it!  I feel like I'm in my own little nest and I have a pillow to snuggle with which ever way I turn!

Tomorrow I'm having Bunco at my house and I have a lot baking and cooking to do to get ready for it.  Since tomorrow is going to be such a busy day I better get to bed soon, so goodnight to you all!

8 Weeks

I have been really tired this week.  Just that sluggish feeling of not wanting to do anything, which is definitely hard to do with a 2 1/2 year old.  I started going back to water aerobics this week despite my tiredness, which has actually gave me a bit more energy for a while at least!  Besides being tired I have had nausea on and off, and have actually gotten sick a few times, but at least I know I'm still pregnant!  LOL!

I had a doctors appointment on Monday.  My doctor attempted to find the babies heartbeat even though its hard to find with a Doppler at 8 weeks.  She wasn't able to find it.  It didn't worry me to much, since we just saw it last week at our ultrasound.  She scheduled me for another appointment in 2 weeks to try to find it just to give me peace of mind.  I ordered a Fetal Doppler to use at home, so hopefully I will be able to find it at home before I even go in again!  It won't be here for a few days, but I'm excited to try it out!

We went to my parents house earlier this week because my brother wanted to play Monopoly.  It has been forever since I have played!  It took us 2 evenings for us to finish the game, since one game can last for hours.  I dominated everyone!  I had all 4 railroads, which ends up being $200 rent and everyone was landing on them!

Mikey decided to get in one of my pictures with me this week, and was trying to eat my raspberry!

Well its getting late, and I think I will head to bed.  I got my new pregnancy pillow today, so I am very excited to try it out!  Goodnight everyone!

7 Weeks

This was a very exciting week for us!  We got to see our baby on ultrasound and see the beautiful flickering of the heartbeat!  The baby was measuring perfectly, so my estimated due date is August 15, 2013.  It was such a relief to see our healthy little blueberry on the screen!  Even though I know there is a long way to go until I am out of the woods, I am very hopeful since Mikey was my only other pregnancy that we saw the heartbeat.

After we had the ultrasound we told the rest of our family.  Everyone was very excited.  We also went out to dinner with our friends and got to surprise them as well!

This week included New Year's Eve, and we went over to my parents house for game night.  My mom had her picture that I gave her for Christmas out on the coffee table to see if anyone would notice.  Well no one said anything about it, so I don't think anyone noticed it!  We had fun bringing in the New Year playing games with family and friends!

On New Year's Eve it snowed quite a bit, so John took Mikey out to play in the snow on New Year's Day since he had off work.  Mikey had lots of fun throwing snow balls at dad, making snow angels, and chasing Beau!  It was fun to watch him play in the snow from my warm kitchen!  LOL!

I hope everyone had a great New Year!  I am praying that 2013 will be a great year filled with happiness and blessings!
